I work with clients that are dealing with substance abuse and coinciding mental health symptoms and disorders. I meet with adolescents and adults as well as families and couples. I enjoy helping individuals who are needing support in all areas of life. I have over 13 years experience working with individuals and groups who have experienced co-occuring mental health and substance use disorders and are associated with the legal system along with DUI evaluations. I currently provide therapeutic services for adolescents, adults, and couples within the state of Kansas in person or telehealth and Missouri and Virginia via telehealth.
With over 13 years experience working with co-occuring mental health and substance use disorders I have continued to help support individuals to better understand themselves and maintain positive choices and lifestyles. I have spent this time working in an outpatient treatment facility, state correctional facility, and private practice.
My goal as a therapist is to meet the client where they are within their life, no matter where that may be, to help them understand how they got there and to identify where they are going. I feel it is best for the client to have control over their therapeutic experience to allow for full disclosure which will help build a positive experience for growth.
