Is Counseling Right for Me? If you are thinking about counseling you would probably benefit from it. Most people think about therapy long before actually making the first call. They often try to work things out themselves or their apprehensions prevent them from taking the first step. But there are times in life when our best thinking just isn’t enough. The therapeutic relationship is itself the most important element of effective counseling. Strategies and tools can be valuable, but a strong alliance has more to do with durable change than any technique or specialty.
One thing all clients at Kachemak Counseling have in common is their motivation for change. They are consistent with their efforts in counseling and are willing to look inwardly to explore what they may be doing to help or hinder their progress. Counseling comes into play when, despite their efforts, they're having difficulty with change and balance.
I support your growth and fulfillment, while providing evidence-based guidance and practical tools to use toward that end. With a robust clinical history, I provide a skill set effective for treating a variety of issues with a wide demographic. Thank you for considering my practice.
