One timeslot open: 5pm Fridays. My name is Nat, I'm a certified EMDR therapist. EMDR is a bit different than standard talk therapy. If you have disturbing memories, EMDR can shift your perspective and reduce the level of distress they cause. Memories can cause us to act in ways that may feel confusing or even distressing, such as repeating behaviors we don’t like toward ourselves or the people we love. "Desensitizing" negative memories often improves relationships, job performance, depression, anxiety, anger, and more. This leads my clients to experience measurable improvement. See my website for more info.
Supplementing my years of rigorous EMDR training and practice, I'm training in a model called IFS: a powerful approach for healing childhood trauma, including neglect and emotional abuse. Woven together, EMDR and IFS techniques create a safe, gentle environment to honor complex feelings and effectively heal some of the worst pain that someone can feel.
My approach supports deep, holistic healing of the mind, body, and spirit. If you've tried therapy before and it hasn't helped the way you'd hoped, please don’t give up. You are not broken. You can connect with your wisest self and learn to trust yourself. In this process, I am honored to walk with you as long as you need.
