One timeslot open: 5pm Fridays. My name is Nat, I'm a certified EMDR therapist. EMDR is a bit different than standard talk therapy. If you have disturbing memories, EMDR can shift your perspective and reduce the level of distress they cause. Memories can cause us to act in ways that may feel confusing or even distressing, such as repeating behaviors we don’t like toward ourselves or the people we love. "Desensitizing" negative memories often improves relationships, job performance, depression, anxiety, anger, and more. This leads my clients to experience measurable improvement. See my website for more info.
Supplementing my years of rigorous EMDR training and practice, I'm training in a model called IFS: a powerful approach for healing childhood trauma, including neglect and emotional abuse. Woven together, EMDR and IFS techniques create a safe, gentle environment to honor complex feelings and effectively heal some of the worst pain that someone can feel.
My approach supports deep, holistic healing of the mind, body, and spirit. If you've tried therapy before and it hasn't helped the way you'd hoped, please don’t give up. You are not broken. You can connect with your wisest self and learn to trust yourself. In this process, I am honored to walk with you as long as you need.

I help adults heal from trauma and develop more harmonious inner relationships using IFS and EMDR work. A typical plan involves developing comfort and safety using IFS for 4-6 weeks or more, gently working with wounded parts to prepare for EMDR. Once wounded parts consent to performing EMDR processing work, we begin to weave that into treatment as well in a way that respects all parts.

Nat is warm, kind and deeply feeling. I first met her in an EMDR training. She was vulnerable and sincere. Highly recommend.

Using IFS and EMDR integrated together offers a wonderful blend of care. Your experience will be gentle, collaborative, and paced to ensure safety. We'll build inner resources, work with protective and wounded parts, and work with rewiring negative beliefs that came to be during traumatic experiences. The goal is lasting change: more clarity, calm, connection, and relief from painful patterns.
