Change is difficult for many of us. Whether you are seeking change or toiling with the aftermath of a life transition, therapy can help. My approach is to provide a compassionate environment in which to explore the change process. I have an easy and accessible style. I believe that when clients feel comfortable, they are more likely to take risks that otherwise feel too challenging. Training as a researcher ensures that I value evidence-based practices, and it also means I approach my work with curiosity and openness.

I offer psychotherapy services that target substance use, health behavior change, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I also offer psychological support and education for family members of individuals struggling with addiction.

In addition to my licensure as a clinical psychologist, I received specialized training in the area of substance use disorder treatment, including a postdoctoral fellowship at the VA's Center of Excellence in Substance Abuse Treatment and Education, and recent training in Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP).
