I provide individual therapy for adults of all ages and backgrounds to develop hope, self-compassion, and empowerment. You might feel lost, overwhelmed, or unsure about your ability to cope. You might be unclear and confused about what matters to you. You might find yourself relying on coping attempts that are problematic and no longer serve you or do not align with your values. I will help you understand where these coping patterns originated from and assess their effectiveness in your life. I will help you clarify your values, reconnect with your inherent strengths, and help steer your life in the right direction.
The approach we take will depend on your situation and needs. Possible areas of focus include reducing stress, coping with losses, exploring relational or behavioral patterns that have become problematic, and addressing beliefs that shape problems and contribute to symptoms. Together we will identify your goals and collaboratively address them.

I like to bring in a sense of humor if appropriate and have found that humor can be a very helpful coping device!
