What I have found consistently in my work is that taking the first step towards a goal is typically the most challenging. When we think about our goals, or just simply our responsibilities and tasks for the day, we can quickly get caught up in a fantasy of what could be. I utilize a client-centered approach, with a priority of developing a strong relationship with my clients. I view each of my clients as being unique and as having their own journey to healing. Through the use of several evidenced-based treatment strategies, I help my clients begin to take ownership of their lives in order to gain a sense of empowerment.
