As a LMFT, I practice an evidence-based family systems approach. I believe great insight and change can occur when a family system understands how each member may be contributing to a particular issue. My therapeutic approach looks different for each client as I aim to match my interventions and technique with the strengths of my clients.
I also utilize theories such as solution focused therapy, Bowenian family systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and the common factors approach. I use these approaches to help my clients realize their strengths and attributes and utilize them in a way that contributes to healing and growth as clients reach the goals that we have collaboratively set.
