I specialize in treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I also have a diagnosis of OCD and understand the difficulties of living with this disorder. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy and exposure and response prevention therapy for clients who experience intrusive thoughts and repetitive compulsive behaviors. I help clients cope with fear, anxiety, and panic related to OCD and discuss how to live a healthy life while managing OCD symptoms.
Some of the fears that I help clients manage are: fear of contamination and illness, fear of harming family members and friends, fear of committing crimes, fear of making mistakes and being fired from work, and fear of making moral transgressions.
When I am not at work, I enjoy playing guitar and singing, walking, writing fiction, reading, petting my cat, and watching tv.
