Hello! I’m Jurnee Coker, a passionate mental health counselor (LP) working both in-person and via telehealth with clients in New York State. This DBT Emotional Regulation Skills and Process Group is a structured, skills-focused group for adults seeking support in managing intense emotions, reducing reactivity, and navigating interpersonal challenges. Grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the group combines evidence-based skills training with process-oriented discussion in a supportive and collaborative environment. Participants will learn practical coping strategies for regulating overwhelming emotions, increasing present-moment awareness, and responding more effectively to distressing thoughts, urges, and relational stressors. Weekly sessions incorporate mindfulness practices, DBT emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills, and opportunities for reflection, feedback, and real-life application.
