My ideal client is someone who has a foundation of wellness and is looking to bridge the chasm between where they are and where they would like to be. They have self-awareness, motivation, and a support system to aid them in their journey. They are looking to learn and implement sustainable tools, practices, and habits that will embody their authentic truth and enhance their lives as a whole. They are curious and open about alternative and holistic methods of healing. They are willing to lean into fear of walking the unknown path of internal alchemy and evolution, knowing they are the ultimately the one that can heal themselves.

Life transitions can be difficult to navigate alone. There may be grief, confusion, sadness and anger, fear, or any combination of these feelings. There is no circumstance too small in which to seek help from a professional clinician. I believe that my role as a therapist is to help you reach beyond your potential helping you access your own gifts and talents to get you through difficult times and draw meaning from life's challenges. I enjoy working with folks of all ages and incorporating art, music, and writing into the therapy process. I am trained in EMDR and currently in training for Somatic Experience.

Today’s environment makes many assumptions about the nature of psychological health, oftentimes seeing depression, anxiety, or other psychological concerns as only problems to be avoided and eradicated. However, there is much that our symptoms can teach us about ourselves and our world. In fact, they may even hold the key to our psychological well-being.

I enjoy working with people in a safe and supportive atmosphere where a person can be who they really are. As individual's lives are often complex and surely unique, I work collaboratively with clients to learn about their reasons for seeking therapy as well as to enliven and deepen the therapeutic process through greater self-reflection. Ultimately, I believe that human beings are self-healing, and that the symptoms and contexts that lead a person into their therapeutic journey can often teach and bring meaning in ways that enhance psychological wholeness.

I am committed to helping individuals live more fulfilling, meaningful, and complete lives. Often, we may find ourselves feeling disconnected from others and from ourselves, or we may feel like we’re unable to live the life we would like to live. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empathic space where we can explore these difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I consider the therapeutic relationship to something to be cherished and will walk by your side as we do the work of coming back home to who we really are.

Often, people come to us without having explored psychological concerns in a sophisticated way. If they had past therapy, they were at times disappointed that it did not go deeper, as it left the greater meaning (the "roots") of their symptoms unexplored. As psychodynamic therapists, however, our goal is to see comprehensively, with thoughtful attention to the subtle depths and intricacies of your experience. In so doing, we can help to both resolve symptoms and impart meaning to your experiences, even those thoughts, feelings, and emotions that are often deemed painful or meaningless.

I am a gender affirming therapist and practice trauma informed care. The most common thing I hear from clients when they come to me is, "I've tried it all." They have done the work and feel they have plateaued in some way. I'm here to intuitively guide and teach you new skills and perspectives to go deeper in your connection to self, others, and this life.

I have a background in depth psychology and work through Jungian, Self-Object, and Archetypal Psychology perspectives.
I provide quality mental health counseling and therapy that is thoughtfully tailored to your needs. Our work together will address concerns in an empowering and centering way that produces substantive change. My approach is connective (Therapy works best when we are able to connect and work well together) and directive (by directive I mean that I give things for you to do during the week like writing, journaling, reading, exercises, reflections, and/or activities). I'm known for being helpful with people who have been through therapy and haven't had success. I help people find aliveness, creativity, and strength.

I am also trained in and draw on CBT, relational psychoanalytic approaches, meditation perspectives, Jungian psychology, Schema Therapy, and other good stuff.
I mostly work in an Internal Family Systems (IFS), relational way. To me that means working in therapy towards having good enough internal harmony. Life is hard and life is amazing. Because life can be hard, we often have to get into intense, protective relationships with ourselves. Then parts of us can be pushed into the shadows. So we can wind up feeling "out of whack" and living our daily lives can be harder. Therapy can help us work with our multifaceted psychology so that we then have greater internal friendship and harmony. That can then translate into our relationships, our work, and our lives in the world.

I combine Somatic Experiencing, IFS - Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamics, Attachment Repatterning, and Jungian Sandplay.
Our human experience can innately be encountered by adversity. I believe our therapeutic relationship and your internal wisdom can turn those experiences into opportunities for growth and transformation. You deserve to reconnect with your essence and your infinite power to create the life you want and the one that already belongs to you through the power of healing.

I am actively attuned and engaged with clients and use an integrative approach, drawing when appropriate from a range of lenses (Psychodynamic, Jungian, Internal Family Systems, and Object Relations). While I am trained and experienced in cognitively-based therapies (CBT), I thrive when using depth approaches, because I am passionate about guiding individuals toward new levels self-awareness. The process often results in psychological maturation and improvements in inner life and relationships.

In broad terms, anyone interested in Jungian psychology, the the theory and practice developed by Carl Jung, may resonate with my approach. We’ll talk through whatever you want, but I’ll also encourage you to delve beneath the surface. Specifically those who identify as Queer, those interested in the healing power of psychedelic medicines, those who identify as Christian and those interested in couple work may find value in my approach.

My emphasis is in depth psychology with training in Jungian,psycho-dynamic and Narrative modalities.
Life is full of twists and turns we never expected to encounter. We feel alienated and out of balance. Sometimes we simply feel lost and do not know which direction we are facing. Feelings of depression, anxiety and/or physical symptoms can shadow this experience and lead us to feeling more isolated. When we find ourselves in just this situation we tend to view it as if we are stuck. To me, however, we are being called to transformation and more often than not we all need assistance as we walk that path.

I have studied and trained extensively in Psychoanalytic models of psychotherapy including Self-Psychology, Jungian Psychology and Attachment-Based Psychotherapy.
In a word, my approach to therapy is relational. I am at my best when I am centered, curious and genuinely engaged in my client's experience... exploring, nuancing and understanding their unique perspective and the struggles they are facing. I believe in the importance of finding the right "fit" between client and therapist and it is for that reason that I strive to be authentic and fully engaged in every session. My training, areas of specialization and personal style are well suited for those who might be seeking to go deeper in their understanding of themselves and their relationships.

Jungian Therapists

How does Jungian therapy work?

Jungian therapy, also called analytical psychology, focuses on a patient’s inner experiences and unconscious mind. Exploring a person’s unconscious mind can be achieved through several means, including the analysis of memories and dreams, and through physical exercises, such as art, dance, and word association.

How long does Jungian therapy last?

Jungian therapy is an intensive treatment type. Because its goal is to understand a person as a whole, including the unconscious aspects of them, treatment can range from months to years. Since patients learn the theory behind Jungian therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have completed.

Is Jungian therapy effective?

According to studies, many patients find success with Jungian therapy, and the century-old treatment has a devoted following. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Improvements in problem areas seem to continue even after the end of Jungian therapy, as people are able to continue working on themselves using the tools they’ve learned during the treatment.

Is Jungian therapy evidence-based?

Jungian therapy is theory-based, derived from the theories of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist often called one of the fathers of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. Jung developed his theories from observing the problems of patients, and developed many theories of how the mind works. Subsequent psychological research has determined that Jungian therapy can lead to significant improvement in most patients.
