It’s natural to feel lost sometimes. When you are overwhelmed, isolated, fearful, or disconnected, having a space to express yourself genuinely with a witness is medicinal. Reaching out for help can be hard and I appreciate everything it has taken for you to get here. Finding a trusted ally is an important step in receiving the help that you need to live as you truly are, wholeheartedly. I believe in the healing properties of the therapeutic relationship and it is my honor to be a companion along my clients’ journeys.

Welcome. Feeling overwhelmed, lost, exhausted, or confused? My therapeutic approach focuses on increasing understanding and awareness in the present moment to help meet life's obstacles and challenges. It is my belief that becoming more fully present moves through barriers to well-being and can open pathways to inner understanding. Working in the present with thoughts, feelings and emotions, we uncover the past and discover our connections to family and community. My work focuses on spirituality and existential considerations, relationships, family of origin patterns and history, trauma, sexuality, and gender exploration.

I am an advocate for the soul’s desire for expansion and connection with others. I work in the service of the psyche to bring unconscious material to the conscious to facilitate sustainable change, transformation, and growth. I welcome you as you are, whether you are suffering from a dependency, such as problematic substance use, or a mental health condition, like trauma-related difficulties. I incorporate both the Twelve Step and harm reduction methods in my practice. Since I honor and see the value in both modalities, I will work collaboratively with you to determine which approach would best serve your path towards wholeness.

You may have found yourself here because you are feeling overwhelmed by your world, internally or externally. I will help you find some peace. Therapy is a way to intentionally find out who you are, in a world that is constantly trying to define us by what we should be. I value a client/therapist relationship that is dynamic, where we work collaboratively to create therapy that is right for you. I provide a meaningful space for you to explore what challenges are present in your life. As you share, you will be met with compassion, curiosity, and acceptance as you work towards a greater sense of ease in your life and relationships.

We often feel like we didn't get the memo on how to “do” life. As a nonbinary, Trans person from the Midwest, who transitioned in their 40's I can relate. I’ve spent the better part of my adult life unlearning harmful messages and beliefs, and relearning who I am. You may think, "Do I need to be trans to have a trans therapist?" The answer is no, working with me everyone can expect a safe, authentic, and sometimes silly space (with pop culture references) where we collaborate to find real solutions that dismantle the toxic and oppressive messages, and find solutions unique to you, and peace that last a lifetime.

In life we can sometimes feel stuck in old patterns. Or maybe our sleep, eating, or job performance has changed. Mood, physical health, and mental health are all connected. Brain fog, tiredness, loss of interest (or sleepless nights, jittery days, etc) can mean the balance is off. These are times when therapy can help you understand the issues from a new point of view. Primarily, I see my job as one of listener and guide. Together, we can figure out what's keeping you from being a joyful resilient person. It takes courage and strength to ask for help. I am here if you are curious or ready to begin.

Hi! I'm Dani, and I see couples. Whether you are doing the work of repairing, growing, or separating, couples counseling is a path to mutual understanding. For couples who would like to stay together, it’s worth reflecting on what brought you together in the first place. Things like how you met, what clicked, and why you stayed can inform what makes you hang in there now. I find that’s a nice place to start if you’re keeping the bond, sometimes even if you’re not. Wherever you are at in your dynamic, we’ll go into what you would like to see happen here.

Jungian Therapists

How does Jungian therapy work?

Jungian therapy, also called analytical psychology, focuses on a patient’s inner experiences and unconscious mind. Exploring a person’s unconscious mind can be achieved through several means, including the analysis of memories and dreams, and through physical exercises, such as art, dance, and word association.

How long does Jungian therapy last?

Jungian therapy is an intensive treatment type. Because its goal is to understand a person as a whole, including the unconscious aspects of them, treatment can range from months to years. Since patients learn the theory behind Jungian therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have completed.

Is Jungian therapy effective?

According to studies, many patients find success with Jungian therapy, and the century-old treatment has a devoted following. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Improvements in problem areas seem to continue even after the end of Jungian therapy, as people are able to continue working on themselves using the tools they’ve learned during the treatment.

Is Jungian therapy evidence-based?

Jungian therapy is theory-based, derived from the theories of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist often called one of the fathers of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. Jung developed his theories from observing the problems of patients, and developed many theories of how the mind works. Subsequent psychological research has determined that Jungian therapy can lead to significant improvement in most patients.
