About
I began my work with the HIV/AIDS population, the homeless population and those who struggled with drug abuse. Spending many years with these precious people, provided me with insight of how the mind and the heart works. It was the perfect foundation to my understanding human pain and resilience, as I had to work with many diagnosis. I am a Christian psychotherapist but I have a deep understanding of the religions of many of our world's cultures, therefore my "doors are open" to people of all faiths. I am happy to use your personal faith to help you find meaning in your challenges.
My specialty is, Creating Meaning From Loss. Loss can mean anything from death, to anything of which you feel deprived. In Creating Meaning, we take the experience of loss and grow from it. Eventually, the loss becomes a triumphant experience. I look forward to Creating Meaning with you.
I always share my own story, when needed. I use it as a learning tool to show that I am a human being. I find that doing this, enhances the therapeutic relationship. I am not ashamed to cry with you in your grief, or rejoice with you in your success. I am here to serve.
