This has been a goal in my life, and one I have enjoyed sharing with my clients. These days, most of my clients seek counseling because they are having trouble sleeping, are overindulging in food or alcohol, are feeling angry and irritable, or sad and low on energy, much of the time.
Stress at home or in the workplace has made life uncomfortable and unfulfilling. Many folks describe feeling "stuck" in anxiety or depression, even after trying some medication. Talking these issues through in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect promotes healing and hope for the future.
With couples, it also improves communication and the ability to be nurturing to one another. I offer this help in the context of both short-term counseling and longer term therapy.
