As a clinical psychologist, I have specialized in working with inpatient and outpatients adults. I have also served as a clinical supervisor. My clinical training focuses on the management of psychiatric and psychological difficulties, which I treat individually or in groups. I have a special interest on the treatment of: perceptual disturbances, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, stress management, identity and sexual orientation, among other life situations.
My psychology training has been theoretically and philosophically based on the Postmodernity, which view humans as complex, plural and evolving. On the other hand, my clinical training can be described as an integrative one, which combines CBT, DBT and the psychodynamic approach. As for now, I offer Psychotherapy in Spanish and/or Spanish/English.
I consider Psychotherapy as a genuine opportunity that goes beyond the reduction of symptoms and mood improvement. Psychotherapy can be a safe space for a deeper reflection about the self, behaviors, thought processes, emotions and the connections that these could have with: our context, our narative, our development and also with the demands of society.
