Hi and welcome! I look forward to meeting with you. A little about myself...I have over 26 years of expereince and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I provide individual therapy and supervision to pre-licensed interns. I work with adults and specialize in stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues and parenting issues. I am supportive, nurturing, and encouraging. I want my clients and supervisees to feel comfortable and safe and to be able to talk with me about anything. I tend to be energetic and often use humor.
My approach varies depending on the needs of the client. Overall, I utilize a strengths-based approach to build upon the individual skills of each client. This allows clients to build confidence and success, which provides a path forward in treatment.
What you can expect from our first session together is for us to spend the majority of time discussing what is bringing you to treatment. This will help us to begin to identify the areas in your life that you would like to see improved or changed. The first session is about building initial trust and connection.
