Nesting Communities Counseling and Art Therapy is about creating community and a safe space for art-making, trauma work, and process through open-ended discussion. I have a passion for helping children and adults who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, generational trauma, difficulty in school related to ADHD and Autism Spectrum. I also have a deep commitment and passion for LGBTQIA+ kids and adults. I enjoy helping those navigate identity and support within overlapping complexities of society, finding safe spaces, and celebrating diversity and being human.
I use art as a means of communicating and processing. I am social-justice oriented and strive to advocate for my clients. I have an eclectic approach and try to meet people where they are at. I practice unconditional-positive regard and acceptance of people as human beings. You navigate your treatment and are the best expert of yourself.
I have provided Art Therapy and counseling services in domestic violence shelters, residential treatment centers, homeless shelters, primary care facilities, and in-home family services through the courts' systems. I'm a phone call away!
