My name is Julie Box. I have my Bachelor of Art's degree in Psychology, my Master of Social Work, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado. My areas of practice include working with children/youth and adults, with anxiety, grief and loss, behavioral issues, and trauma experiences. My therapeutic approach is that we are all doing the best that we can, and we can all do better. I believe that people need to be validated regarding their feelings, thoughts, beliefs, etc. This helps them to move forward with where they want to be in their lives.
The clients I typically work with are children/youth, and adults working through trauma and PTSD. I am comfortable with clients needing the support and validation required to make changes in their lives so that they are able to live a fuller and content life.
The environment I create with my clients is one of acceptance, tolerance, and respect. I truly believe that we are all really trying our hardest to be the person we want to be. I also believe that we all have behaviors that we can improve to reach our life goals of being happy and content.
