Anorexic and Bulimic Therapy Group

In a safe & supportive atmosphere, we will identify and explore the many factors that have contributed to your disordered eating & problematic behaviors. Using a dynamic, interpersonal group model, along with creative experiential techniques, members come to development healthy emotional skills & processes, interpersonal trust, and the ability to embrace and work through strong emotions. Group members, additionally, are welcomed into a supportive & honest interpersonal forum where they can practice being emotionally vulnerable, allowing their "real self" to be seen, and to receive the acceptance and care they may never have experienced before. This is a powerful and very positive recovery group!

Adolescent Psychotherapy Group

This group is designed to help teens successfully maneuver through the innumerous challenges which face today's adolescents and their families. Themes include: social/peer dynamics and issues, academic pressures, divorce, self-image, self-esteem and difficult/challenging family dynamics. This group works to facilitate improved emotional adjustment, social support, and the development of positive, effective coping skills for high school aged students. Through facilitated group discussion, members will explore communication and relational styles, identify successful coping skills in light of various pressures, will learn to set healthy boundaries and begin developing an esteemed, multi-faceted identity!

DBT Skills Group

This 14-week accelerated DBT skills training group is designed to help clients effectively control difficult emotional states that lead to destructive behavioral patterns, and develop healthy relationship skills. The four modules of this group include mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. This group is open to adult men and women (ages 18+) who want to decrease their destructive behavioral patterns, learn to tolerate painful emotions, and enhance the relationships in their lives. Weekly attendance is requested.
