Life shouldn't be painful. For the past 26 years, I have had the honor of helping clients FULLY recover & heal from eating disorders, trauma, abuse, depression & anxiety. I believe that it is absolutely possible to overcome past events that have wounded you and that a meaningful, fulfilled life can be created regardless of length or severity of current disorder. As the Founder / Director of A New Beginning & TheHealthyWeighOut, I lead a remarkable team of specialists who work to heal others. I am a nationally-recognized eating disorder expert, and am a Consultant and Guest Lecturer on the Faculty of Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
I have specialized in the treatment of eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia & binge eating disorder) since 1991. My goal for every client is full and lasting change. To do this, I go beyond mere symptom or behavioral reduction. I believe that when we identify, address, and then fully HEAL underlying issues, FULL recovery occurs. Please, never settle for less.
In an emotionally safe, supportive and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, I utilize a number of approaches to help clients return to their whole, authentic self. These include: internal family systems, attachment-focused EMDR, interpersonal, experiential, psychodynamic, EFT & self psychology. I individualize my approach, because every client is unique.
