I am a Clinical Expressive Arts Therapist and talk therapist who has been working in the field for about 8 years. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient hospitals, substance use programs, school settings, and outpatient therapy clinics. I have worked with different ages including children 4 to 10, teens 14 to 18, young adults in their 20s to 40s, and older adults 40+. I have experience with diagnoses including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, substance use disorder, trauma history, and life transitions. I also have a background in yoga and mindfulness and incorporate them into sessions.
My focus is helping clients process difficult emotions, develop emotional regulation and coping skills. I am currently working toward my REAT license (Registered Expressive Arts Therapist) and can bring expressive therapy into sessions if the client is open to that approach. No background in art is necessary and talk therapy is also an option.
I am a highly empathetic therapist with a person-centered and solution-focused approach. I will help you to identify emotions, regulate your nervous system, engage in mindfulness, improve relationships, and navigate life transitions. I also have a background in DBT and CBT if a client wants to learn more coping and interpersonal skills.
