I am the owner of Bowman Family Services, and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Supervisor with over 26 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. My carefully selected team of child, adolescent, adult, couples and family therapists, and psychologists utilize play, art and yoga therapy, sound therapy, mindfulness, EMDR, CBT, trauma-focused CBT, DBT, Pre-Marital and psychological testing. We receive ongoing trainings to utilize the best therapy approaches in our field. We specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. We have offices in Wake Forest, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wilmington, and Cary NC.

We understand the benefits of wellness, nutrition, exercise, spiritual balance, and strong mental health to help individuals thrive! We have therapists who focus on Christian therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, LGBTQ+ (including a support group for middle and high schoolers), Women's Issues, & Grief & Loss.

We continue to grow across the triangle. We have a contract with Wake County Public Schools and provide outpatient counseling to children referred through the school in the school setting. Please ask us if we currently serve your school.

We utilize play, art, and yoga therapy with most of our kids. Most of our therapists regularly use mindfulness, DBT, CBT strategies to help clients decrease anxiety, improve their mood, increase self-confidence, and increase emotional intelligence. We love EMDR principles and at least half of our staff are trained in EMDR therapy. We firmly believe in the value of assessment to plan treatment.
