I work especially well with clients of all ages experiencing issues related to trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and feelings of low self-worth.
I recognize that traumatic and adverse experiences throughout the life span continue to powerfully influence present day experience. They often are the root cause of negative beliefs about ourselves, how safe we feel in the world and how we are able to connect with others.
The goal is to replace outdated negative trauma-created self-beliefs with a genuine sense of positive self-worth and freedom from overwhelming symptoms.
The primary focus of my 30+ years as a therapist has been in the treatment of trauma and a variety of other difficult life circumstances. I am Certified in EMDR therapy, and am credentialed as a Sandplay Practitioner.
I place deep importance on the therapeutic relationship, striving to ensure that my client feels understood, supported and seen. My goal is to join with my clients as we safely uproot these deeper sources of distress. As they are brought to light, recognized and gently treated, true and lasting healing can place.
