I do have specific expertise and experience providing counseling for those living with Spectrum Disorder across the lifespan and those struggling with the residuals of traumatic brain injuries. I utilize various methods in enabling my clients to live better more fulfilling lives. Each client requires a personal plan and I work together with them to ensure the approach we are utilizing is meeting their specific needs. It always includes counseling but it can also include advocacy and mobilization of resources.
I have been in practice since 1990 and bring the benefit of having many ways of knowing about illness and injury in the family. I was a social worker at NYU Medical Center and I have first hand experience raising a developmentally disabled child into an independent adult.
