My highest goal as a therapist is to create an emotionally safe and judgment free environment, which I believe are two pre-requisites for healing to take place. In this place of safety, I believe it is the client that holds the power to be a change agent in their own life, to pursue balance, and heal from past experiences. As the therapist, my role is to facilitate that healing, although it is the client that holds the key.
Sometimes life gets heavy, and it feels like there is more to carry than we can put on our own shoulders. You were never meant to carry it alone. My hope is to come alongside of you and help you untangle the parts of your head and heart that feel heavy and overwhelmed.
Just as we get hurt in human relationship, we also heal in the context of human relationship. It can be a daunting thing to entrust a stranger with the contents of your mind and heart, so know that you are brave just for considering asking for help.
