I specialize in supporting families and couples who are struggling to communicate effectively. This may look like every conversation turning into a fight, no longer being able to understand or relate to the other person's point of view, behavior challenges with children, or feeling completely exhausted by being stuck in a pattern together. I help guide families and couples back to mutual understanding, in working through and resolving conflicts, and in addressing how behaviors affect one another.
My style of therapy is born out of a mix of Brief Strategic Family Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, so it is very active and directive. I feel it is important to mix processing with action steps and moving through conflict. It is important to me that my clients begin to feel a change in their relationship dynamics as we work together.
Seeking therapeutic support is difficult, and it becomes even harder when more than one person is involved in the process. This is why I offer a free assessment session at the beginning of our work together, to alleviate one barrier to starting therapy and so that we can make sure we are the right fit for each other! I look forward to meeting you!
