Not only do I understand the challenge in picking up the phone to make that first phone call for help, I understand and am mindful of the challenges of following through with this, every step of the way. I see my role as a therapist as helping each of my clients to move toward their best life. I work collaboratively with my clients to figure out what that means for them, and am mindful that my job as a therapist is to work myself out of a job.
Although dealing with grief and loss is a natural, universal and human experience, that does not mean it is easy. This is especially true when it is connected to trauma. I use EMDR, ego state work, & other trauma related treatments to reduce distress and facilitate the natural healing processes.
Additionally, I have completed over 200 additional hours of hands-on training in the Sandtray WorldPlay method, for clients of all ages. It can be a fun and viable option for clients who are willing to "play",
