I use a variety of methods, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Relaxation/Guided Imagery and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and families. I also specialize in grief, anxiety, blended families and co-parenting issues as a certified Parenting with Love and Logic Facilitator.
Research proves that if we know how to reach for each other and pull each other close in times of distress, our relationships will be secure, satisfying and long lasting. I work with couples, families and siblings to break their negative cycles and learn positive new ways of interacting.
For couples counseling I use Emotionally Focused Therapy, an empirically proven method of healing relationships based on attachment theory. Research has shown that 90% of couples that participate in EFT get better and 73% continue to show many signs of improvement in follow up studies.
