Adolescence is a time of great change and growth. During that time there can also be a lot of worry. Worries about the future, grades, external pressures, social challenges, perfectionism. Sometimes those worries become overwhelming and can take control of your family. And family members, without realizing it, will begin to accommodate worries and anxiety. This will result in anxiety becoming bigger and in charge. Through the process of psychoeducation I teach adolescents and parents and young adults what is happening in their brain when worry shows up and the skills to learn how to tolerate and manage worry and anxiety.
