I am Julie Hesterman, a Licensed Master Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, blending various evidence-based techniques to create a unique and viable path for each person’s journey toward health and fulfillment. My therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based therapeutic techniques to meet the needs of each client. I emphasize self-determination, believing that lasting change comes when a client truly desires it. I also support a holistic perspective, integrating mind, body and soul, and will incorporate spirituality and faith into sessions when desired.
In my communications style, I strive to create a warm, respectful and supportive environment in my sessions. My communication is empathetic and non-judgmental, and I approach each client with unconditional positive regard. My goal is to make clients feel comfortable and understood, helping them open up and explore their challenges at their own pace.
Goal setting is a collaborative process. I work closely with clients to understand their individual aspirations and create person-centered treatment plans. I aim to empower clients by helping them identify what they truly want to achieve and supporting them in developing practical strategies to attain their goals.
