I specialize in trauma and crisis counseling by utilizing a rational behavioral empowerment integrative approach with clients 17 years and older. This integrative approach provides support while encouraging the client to stay in the here and now and utilize their strengths to increase self-esteem and motivation. Clients with bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, severe depression and anxiety, change of life circumstances, and PTSD benefit from behavioral and empowerment therapy
I provide both individual and group therapy. Groups include women and men's empowerment groups and creative art therapy. Empowerment groups encourages clients to explore their identity and learn self-motivation. Creative arts is especially effective for depression, anxiety, and anger management.
I am a certified supervisor for LCPCs and LCSWs (limited) for attaining necessary hours for licensure. I also provide supervision for counselors seeking additional training working with clients who experience crisis and trauma and working with Borderline Personality Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, and Hoarding.
