Navigating life's challenges and obstacles can be overwhelming. The therapeutic process provides an opportunity to discover new ways of responding to stressors and barriers that keep us from feeling our best. As a licensed mental health counselor and expressive arts therapist, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental environment in which one can safely explore root causes of issues, deepen self understanding and build coping skills necessary to move toward healing and lasting change.
I support individuals, couples, and families with a grounded, empathic presence and holistic approach. Using traditional talk therapy as well as alternative forms of self expression such as journaling and visual art, I help clients build upon existing strengths and learn new skills including mindfulness practice, relaxation and focusing techniques.
Areas of specialty include working with blended families, youth and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, parenting, adoption, identity, attachment and relationship problems.
