My number one priority is for my clients to feel comfortable. I take a laid-back approach that is fairly directive yet very empathic. Psychoeducation and self-esteem work are major parts of my practice as I utilize these tools to empower my clients. I also focus on coping skills and the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors (CBT-focused). I like to be transparent with clients and increase their comfortability by letting my own personality shine through.
My specialties lie within anxiety and depression. I work with clients aged 8 and up who experience a variety of struggles. One of the areas I love working in most is self-advocacy and people-pleasing behaviors. I aim to increase clients' awareness of their thoughts and behaviors and then find how they use this information to increase life satisfaction.
I hope that clients walk away from sessions feeling empowered and relieved. Naturally, some sessions are emotionally more difficult than others; I want to acknowledge these tough parts and honor them. My goal is to empower clients by educating them, listening to them and guiding them to utilize their own strengths to achieve long-term satisfaction in life.
