Julie is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She joined Family Innovations/Lifestance in 2014 and currently provides outpatient counseling with patients as well as clinical supervision services for a team of community-based mental health practitioners. Julie earned her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University. Julie incorporates a person-centered approach that is both non-judgmental and compassionate. Her goal is to provide a place of safety for patients struggling with anxiety and depression; helping remove blockages so they can find hope that life can be better than they believed.
Julie works to help patients discover their individual strengths; to find that person inside that is calm, curious, and connected and to build new strengths-based life scripts supporting lasting changes in their lives.
She has received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and has extensive experience working with individuals and families that are affected by abuse and trauma. In her spare time, Julie enjoys writing and illustrating books, and spending time with her 4-generation family.
