I am glad you are here. In order to know whether I am a good fit for you, let me tell you about myself and my understanding of what it means to be your therapist. After working as an R.N. and a pastor/chaplain, I realized that counseling was truly my passion. So, I went back to school – again! I received my Master’s in Social Work and have been working as a therapist for the last five years. In my practice, I see adults and children aged 10 and up. I am willing to consider seeing younger children on a case-by-case basis. I also do couple’s therapy. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional - II and specialize in trauma.
I am happy to include your spirituality in your therapy but you will be the one who brings that up. There are some clients who may be nervous about the fact that I am an ordained minister. I want to assure you that you will take the lead in any discussions about religion/spirituality.
If you choose to see me as a therapist, you will find that I am a warm, caring person. I will tailor your therapy to your condition and life situation. I do my very best to be available to my clients during business hours and for emergencies. I hope that you will consider me for your mental health needs.
