I believe in the power of play to help children connect with and express their inner experiences and emotions. Play is a safe space to explore and work through intense feelings, leading to a sense of mastery and the ability to express feelings in a well-regulated way. Because development occurs through warm and supportive relationships, I work to build a meaningful connection with each child and family, meeting them where they are and utilizing areas of strength to work on things that are more difficult and challenging.
Utilizing a developmental multi-disciplinary approach, I think about each child as an individual, taking into account both challenges and strengths in the areas of speech and language, sensory processing, motor skills, and learning. I work with each family to develop goals that meet their needs and help to facilitate growth and development.
