Knowing where to begin to deal with your personal struggles can be difficult. In a supportive and collaborative environment we will uncover the strengths you already possess to conquer life's challenges. I provide counseling to all kinds of people, with all kinds of struggles. I specialize in anxiety and depression, but I am particularly interested in where they come from. This can include difficult life transitions, family conflict, relationship issues, history of abuse and anger problems-to name a few. My goal is to give you some strategies to help you feel better immediately, while working on larger patterns in need of change.
I have 30 years of experience working with adolescents, teens, adults and families. I utilize a broad approach, drawing upon elements of cognitive-behaivoral, psychodynamic, interpersonal and family systems therapies. Most importantly, I am strengths-based. I customize my approach to fit each person's unique strengths and needs.
Though I have an extensive history of working with adolescents and teens, I am not currently taking teen referrals as I focus on parenting my own teenagers! I look forward to returning to this important work in the near future. I enjoy working with young adults, parents, and people in all stages of life transition.
