I work with individuals and families to strengthen their relationships with themselves and those around them, fostering secure attachments and meaningful connections. Drawing on my clinical training, a 20-year career as a special education teacher, and extensive life experience, I have supported clients facing a range of challenges, including ADHD, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I also have a special interest in supporting parents and caregivers as they navigate the complexities of raising children who are struggling.
My approach is strengths-based, holistic, and person-centered. I believe each individual possesses unique strengths and the capacity for growth. I incorporate mindfulness practices and utilize evidence-based treatments, including CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, tailoring treatment to each client's needs and preferences.
When appropriate and desired, I integrate movement, mindfulness, and expressive approaches into the therapeutic process. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate space where clients can cultivate self-acceptance, resilience, and confidence while creating the changes they seek in their lives and relationships.
