The most rewarding thing I do is help people create more intimacy & vulnerability with themselves and others. One of my main focuses is helping clients embrace their relationships in healthier ways. I enjoy working with clients who have blocks that are keeping them from desired romantic relationships. Together we can address underlying stresses from trauma or current triggers and work through them, developing new coping skills along the way. I believe individuals understand their strengths and limitations best, and so my task will be in helping to deepen awareness.
As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, I can understand both the distress and intrigue of addiction. I help clients who are struggling or in recovery from intimacy disorder, porn and sex addiction. I also work with people who are early in sobriety or are trying to stay abstinent from alcohol and drugs.
I am trained in EMDR which is one of the most effective treatments for PTSD and trauma. Additionally, I am a certified grief recovery counselor & am grateful I can hold space for people who are in acute grief from loss of all kinds. I have a holistic & goal oriented approach in working with people, using mindfulness practices as well as, a relational focus.
