I am a certified trauma therapist specializing in the treatment of first responder, military and relational trauma. The treatment I provide is survivor-led and trauma informed. As the wife of a combat veteran, I have endured the endless gaps in a broken system that our soldiers and first responders with PTSD face. Our family’s fight to overcome PTSD and our fight to compensate for the gaps in a flawed system now serves to light the path I follow in working with veterans and first responders in my practice. I am passionate about my work and wholeheartedly believe in the power of healing.
I am transparent and fully engaged with my patients. My therapeutic style has frequently been described as direct, but gentle. I tend to sprinkle humor into my work and when appropriate, I reference my own personal history in service of the healing of others. My personal history and subsequent healing journey has paved my path as a healer.
Over time, I have learned to trust the therapeutic process, which continues to prove that healing and personal growth are always possible- despite the curve balls life throws your way! My three dogs, Porkchop, Wyatt and Piglet frequently make appearances on camera, whether they're stretching or snoring in the background or smiling for the camera.
