I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana providing Telehealth therapy services. I specialize in trauma recovery and a modern understanding of grief, one that recognizes that loss isn’t just about death, but about any life-altering change that leaves a void. Trauma doesn’t just live in the past, it lives in our dreams, our bodies, and the gaps in our memories. If you are experiencing ‘forgotten’ memories, bad dreams, or the aftermath of sexual abuse, you don’t have to carry that weight alone.
I always like to let clients know that the first session can be a bit uncomfortable and isn't at all what following sessions will look like. To understand the client and why they are coming to therapy I have to complete an intake, which is a summary of the client's life and experiences.
I have worked in a variety of different environments that have given me unique perspectives into the lives of others, such as working with families impacted by DCS as well as in the prison system for the state of Indiana. I have also participated in additional trainings to develop my skills in working with trauma and difficult pasts.
