About
I believe that people do the best they can in any given moment. Therapy can be a useful way of learning new skills, identifying maladaptive patterns and recognizing inherent strengths. Sometimes current life circumstances, past trauma or relational difficulties can leave us feeling confused or stuck. Having a safe, objective place to sort this out can be a healthy way to move forward. I love helping people find renewed energy, balance and peace.
I have a strength-based, humanistic approach that is sensitive to an individual's life circumstances and cultural background. I believe in the mind/body connection and
that sometimes our bodies begin to speak a truth that we have been unable to say out loud.
I use a variety of evidence based practices to address individual concerns. A strategy will be developed for each client that may include (but is not limited to), mindfulness practices, psychoeducation, cognitive/behavioral work, Developmental Needs Meeting Strategies, and EMDR. I look forward to working with you to find solutions!
