Hi there! I'm a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) providing therapy to help folks live happier, healthier, and more authentic lives. As the mixed-race child of a single mother who immigrated to the US to make a better life for her family, I want to carry on her mission to improve the lives of others. My therapeutic approach emphasizes building relationships, creating structure, and using whatever strengths, interests, and passions you have to build consistent momentum towards reaching your goals. I believe in progress, not perfection, and people motivated to grow and heal by doing the work are always welcome in my practice!
I specialize in working with fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community, men/male-identified folks, and young adults. I incorporate a variety of different therapy modalities into my practice (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solutions-focused, etc) to help people cope with the many stressors that life can bring and to heal from traumatic experiences.
Each person has unique needs and goals, and I strive to create an environment full of warmth and humor where everyone feels seen, heard, and understood.
