Are you looking to heal from past events and build a positive and healthy life? I work with teens and adults to help immediately reduce the discomfort showing up and then explore the underlying reasons for the presenting difficulties. Symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, substance use, grief/loss, and other challenges are often how your brain and body have been functioning to protect you. Once we understand these responses, we can choose to change them, regain a sense of control, and have an opportunity to be healthier and happier.
As an experiential therapist from the emergency medical field, I use a strengths-based, open approach, primarily drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy techniques. I am also EMDR trained and have 20 years of experience in trauma counseling. I specialize in working with Veterans, first responders, and medical professionals.
