I’m Julia Smith, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering teletherapy throughout the state of Oregon. I provide individual psychotherapy virtually to adults of all ages, and I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and depression, as well as management of ADHD. My practice actively embraces neurodivergence and affirms trans and LGBTQ identities. I utilize a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
In our session, I strive to be authentic, casual, and accepting. I welcome you to make yourself comfortable, and know that we do our best healing when we can be ourselves. I have a healthy sense of humor and am comfortable if you do too.
During our second session, we will clarify the general areas of focus for your time in therapy. I like to think of goals as guideposts, rather than rigid or fixed finish lines. Sometimes goals need to shift, and that’s okay!
