I specialize in providing individual, couples and family therapy to young and emerging adults (18-35+ years old), though I work with adults along the age spectrum (18+). My work focuses on anxiety and stress management, communication skills, personal identity, relationship building, sexuality, life transitions, traumatic experiences, and goal setting. I bring in an understanding of the somatic (body based) experience and the relationship between the mind and body in our health and healing. I am a gender affirming, sex /sexuality positive, body positive provider who uses a variety of client centered approaches in my work.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and hold master’s degrees in both social work and holistic health studies. I have additional training in Emotional Focused Therapy, Advanced Mind-Body Medicine, and Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocacy. I have done research on the role of mindfulness skills around traumatic healing and am a certified yoga instructor.
Born in Minnesota, I did undergraduate studies out East, then spent a year living and working abroad. I am still close with my host family in India and friends in the UK. I am a big fan of being outside on my bike or being up in the BWCA. I am a part of a women’s kettlebell group, and love being near water. I am grateful for live music and theater.
