Having lived in multiple countries—China, England, and the U.S.—and experienced life both as part of the majority and the minority, I bring a deep appreciation for the richness and complexity of diverse life experiences. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship—two people exploring the deeper truths of life together. My goal is to understand your unique personal story and support you in navigating emotional and relational challenges. Through our work, I hope to help you break free from limiting patterns, build emotional resilience, and cultivate more meaningful connections with others.
I work primarily from the Psychodynamic and Interpersonal lens, though I draw from a range of therapeutic models to meet each individual’s needs. I have over 10 years of experience working with clients on issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, relationship difficulties, family of origin concerns, identity intersections, and life transition.
Respect and understanding for individual differences is my core value. Born in China and later immigrated to the U.S. I bring sensitivity to diversity issues to my work. In addition, I have extensive experience working with graduate and professional students, staff and faculty, and providing clinical supervision to trainees.
