Having lived in different countries (China, England, and the U.S.) and the life of both a “majority” and a “minority”, from marketing to mental health, I am able to connect with people in their diverse life experiences. I see therapy as a relationship between two people committed to face the deeper truths of our lives. I am here to understand your unique personal story, and support you in sorting out complex emotional and relational concerns. The goal is for you to set yourself free from limiting barriers, build emotional resilience, and develop more fulfilling relationships with others.
I work primarily from the Psychodynamic and Interpersonal lens, though I have been trained in a variety of therapeutic models. Have 15 years of experience with individuals on issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, relationship, family of origin, intersecting identities, transition. Most effective with those who are open to more in-depth work.
Respect and understanding for individual differences is my core value. Born in China and later immigrated to the U.S. I bring sensitivity to diversity issues to my work. In addition, I have extensive experience working with graduate and professional students, staff and faculty, and providing clinical supervision to trainees.
