My name is Julia Burgess (Julez) and I am a pre-licensed counselor. I have worked in the field of mental health for over 10 years. I have experience as a Behavior Interventionist, in residential mental heath, and in crisis mental health. I come to this work with a desire to help others. As humans we have many emotions, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that can be difficult to manage on our own. My role is to help you navigate all of the aspects of your life to help you find your full potential.
Please note: I offer Animal Assisted Therapy and have a small dog in my office.
I use a humanistic, person centered approach to therapy. This means that YOU are the expert on your life, body, and mind. Through talk therapy we can work together to help you have better overall wellness.
A major focus on my work is related to trauma, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I also focus on older adult mental wellness.
