I began my professional journey as a young adult working in various settings with people struggling to make better choices. As I worked with individuals from widely diverse backgrounds and walks of life, I began to appreciate the power of one hand reaching out. I became profoundly aware that most people are able to build a more fulfilling life, not because of good advice, but because another person was willing to walk with them, assist them in navigating unfamiliar territory, and be part of the process of discovering their potential.
My goal is to create an environment of unconditional acceptance where people can grow without judgment. I work with adolescents, families, couples, and individuals as part of their process to become their most authentic, resilient self. I am dedicated to being present while people address painful experiences and move toward healing through self-discovery.
Shared experiences have deeply affected my work as a counselor so that I view life obstacles as an opportunity to develop a rich story of navigating toward a healthy future. While all of us face painful, difficult experiences, I believe these provide an opportunity to connect, seek new perspectives, and discover unconditional acceptance of self and others.
