I received my MA in Clinical Psychology from SHSU in 1987 and am a Licensed Professional Counselor and an LSOTP. I began my career within the Texas prisons, working in the psychiatric unit. I then worked as a psychotherapist at West Oaks Psychiatric Hospital and Willowbrook Psychological Assoc. In late 1989, I returned to criminal justice arena working with sexual predators and was the first director for the SO treatment program within TDCJ. I now have a private practice, of 24 years, treating a variety of issues including anger management, anxiety, grief counseling, PTSD, secondary trauma, and female hormonal issues.
For the past 24 years, I have maintained my own practice treating not only sex offenders but also counseling for anger management, anxiety, grief counseling, PTSD, secondary trauma, integrating spirituality in counseling and hormone issues with women. My priority is community education and protection. Individual and group sessions are offered.
I am available for presentations and trainings on any or all of the listed areas noted. If after the 30 minutes of your first session you do not feel comfortable with my counseling style, you are free to leave and will not be charged. Referral will provided to you.
