About
I believe that personal growth is an innate human quality that motivates each of us to pursue new goals, strive for clarity and find the loving connections that sustain us through good and trying times. Unfortunately we often get in our own way without knowing the causes, frustrating our efforts to achieve these ends. Commitment and dedication to self-discovery is the first step toward achieving greater emotional freedom. While this can be a challenging journey, the rewards are priceless. I’ll work collaboratively with you to help you make sense of distressing feelings, thoughts, & gain insight into your experiences.
My specialty is offering a highly effective analytic approach augmented with cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT) when appropriate. My work is tailored to each client’s unique needs and finding the most effective approach to alleviate painful symptoms. I am a certified psychoanalyst and I have worked with hundreds of clients over my 20 plus year career.
What you can expect from me is this; I don’t see my clients as ill. I see them as people in distress and I will attempt to help but neither as healer or fixer, nor from the outside in. What I provide is help based on your strengths and capacities to collaborate with me. Help that happens from the inside out through conversation and understanding.
